Redline Shift Beeper Issues
I installed Modifry's Redline Shift Beeper this morning, following the detailed instructions and only hooking up the components the came in the package. In its original configuration, everything worked fine on my shakedown run.
Since it was working, I read further into the installation instructions and decided to install a 12VDC LED assembly which draws 26 mA in line with the Piezo beeper (Ground to BEEP, Pos to +12V) and also install a second piezo beeper as a valet beeper off the OPT port on the circuit.
Following the instructions, I hooked everything up and put the board in test mode to setup the valet function. I got the single beep that the tach reading had been accepted, but the system didn't go into TEST mode when I started the engine.
Now, nothing works. The board and supplied piezo are doing nothing, even when I took everything back to the basic configuration that I originally installed.
I am stumped. Any thoughts?

The fuse and holder is fine. I have yet to pull out my continuity tester and check every point, that will happen tomorrow evening.
BTW: I do understand basic troubleshooting of electrical circuits, but the shrink wrap around the circuit board tells me to keep my mitts off. I will be limited to testing incoming and outgoing wires unless I get direction from modifry on specific testing iideas within the circuit board.

Hmmm... I put a second piezo beeper on for my valet mode and all is well...
Go through the instructions again to set the valet mode... can be confusing when you're excited.
Check the specs on the buzzer too and make sure you've got it connected properly... I found a cheap little Jameco 80db 12vdc buzzer at a local shop. If I recall correctly, it can be tough to get all those positive leads into wire screwdown. Remove the buzzer and try Test mode again if it still doesn't work.
Good luck!

OK. I have performed some further testing.
Both piezo beepers and the led light are functioning fine when tested with an external power source. The power lead which I have tapped into per instructions is functioning and the ground line I am using is fine.
By my figuring this means that all that is left is inside the beeper. I am willing to perform tests on the module, but I need some sort of plan of what to test for.
Modifry, are you out there? Willing to give me some ideas?
