installing shallow subs in the spare tyre cavity
what has been teh general consensus with installing a shallow sub such as the illusion audio, pioneer, jl audio subs that are coming out now where the spare tyre is located.
alternatively, installing them in that general area. i know teh fuel pipe runs along there, and am not entriely sure as to the overall size. i know people install amps in that are.
how has the circulation, heat been? how has the sound been? im guessing it would be better than a boot install as its actually close to the occupants.

I cut a hole out of the convertible top tray so heat hasn't been an issue. If you're planning a sub back there you will defineately want to cut a hole to let some sound into the cabin, and alleviate some rattles.
The tray is plastic, I cut it with a cutting wheel, then sanded the edges. Others have covered it with grill cloth afterwards, I left if open so you could see my amps. Just remember to protect the area that the rear window rests on.
