Default Refresh my memory please ...

I am not planning on doing any serious audio mods (except for installing rear speakers as I did in my 02), but I remember reading about a "device" that enables an external audio unit to send a signal to a HU with an FM signal on the radio.

Does anyone have any links, opinions etc ... or have I just got a bad memory and made the whole thing up?

Yep, that sort of thing! If I recall, it`s possible to connect almost anything (MD, CD, maybe even ipod?)to this "thing" and it wasn`t that expensive either.

Its just an adapter that goes between the ant cable and the HU. You can get them at any sound sound shop or even Circuit City I think.

RF Modulator would be the one that goes through the antennea.

There is also a HON-AUX adapter that connects to the CD changer input to connect an iPod or other RCA or Headphone device.

*nods*, but at this point i think that the adapter is prohibitively expensive for the MY04 cars... a couple of people looked into it, and it was cheaper to buy a new HU.

When you got the distortion, was it with the stock speakers up front?

No, I changed the whole setup and had the Infinities in from the start. I changed the positive/negative leads on the speakers, but it made no difference.

What kind of infinities were they? They may not have been recieving enough power form the Stock HU.
