Default Remote frequency

It's been said over and over again that you can't use the accord key on the s2000. I had to see it to believe it. I got the key to work and start up the car. The problem is the accord remote uses a different frequency than the S. I can't get the remote to work...

I know that in remote controlled cars you can change the crystals and that swithes frequencys. Would this work with the keyless entry remotes? Could i solder the crystal from one fob to another?

I was wondering if any of you EJ's might have some ideas.

thanks

Those systems will typically use a SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) Resonator, rather than a crystal, but the principle is still the same (may need to tweak the tuning caps). A new remote can be had for $20 on eBay, though, so I can't imagine why you would bother swapping SAWs, not to mention the equipment you need to check the frequency.

It would be cool to have the key and the remote all in one

Is there a place where i could get the frequency changed for price? I have already spend $85 so a little more would be so bad.

Thanks for the info!
