remote start
is it possible to put a remote start on a manual car? i know for my brother's old corrado, the clutch didn't have to be in for the car to start, so it would probably be easier to put a remote start on a car like that, but can you wire the car so the clutch doesn't need to be depressed to start? and would that work for the remote start?
It is possible, but keep in mind that if you leave the car in gear, it will jump forward and could dammage the car, your garage or garage door, or some innocent bystander.
Also, the e-brake on this car is really not very good. There have been way too many reports of people who have left the car in one place and found it somewhere else later on. I can think of 2-3 where the car rolled down the driveway into the street. I remember another where the car rolled down a hill and fell off of a retention wall.
It's just a bad idea all around. People have done it, but I would never put remote start on any manual transmission car. (Automagic cars, I am all for it.)
