Replacing an instrument cluster on a 2007 from a theft job
I'm replacing a cluster right now that was stolen.
The thieves were kind enough to chop off the harness and leave the 52 wires exposed.
2 major issues here.
I believe the cluster that was bought from LKQ is made for a 2004..
The wiring harness from LKQ is made for a 2007.
I was able to diagnose and spot most wires as they appear, and most of the cluster is working, but I can't seem to get engine temp, the E-brake wire is staying on, and the seatbelt light is staying on.
At the last stretch right now, but for the life of me cannot find the right wires.
For example, all the pinouts online are not showing a temp sensor wire for the 2006 and up, where as 2005 and down it shows as yellow/green pin B5. This S2000 is showing Black/Yellow pin B5 for SRS.
Used all data as well and the pins are correct for the cars harness.
Pretty sure I have the wrong cluster but would like to get it to work either way.
Is there a way to get this instrument cluster hooked up in this car?

I'm guessing these parts are incompatible since the S2000 has been drive by wire since 2006 and many gauge displays are managed via the data buss and not driven directly by individual sensors. Pure guess on my part but it's how several other cars I've owned work. By the same guess you may need a specific 2007 (or later?) display since there's no TPM on the DBW 2006.
I know the engine fans in the DBW cars are controlled electronically and not by a thermostatic switch in the radiator which is (or could be) a major hint. There's a sensor but it's not a On-Off switch. A 2004 cluster probably can't see radiator temp since the analog sensor it depends on ain't there.

Im guessing the ECM isn't communicating with the cluster correctly because of a short from the theft? Likely causing the issue with the brake light staying on, engine temp and outside air temp?
