Default Replacing Tweeter in door & head

Quick question.

2007 Honda S2K

If I replace the tweeter in the door by simply cutting the existing wire wiring the new tweeter, will I need to do anything to keep full range from the tweeter or is that already in the wiring from Honda?

Also, what about the headrest tweeters?

Anyone here ever replaced those?

I replaced my tweeters and full-range speakers in the doors with an Alpine setup (SPR 60C). The 6.5" came with a crossover. Just strap it to some safe part of door, wire into existing loom. Replace tweeter.

I kept OEM headrest speakers. I don't think they are worth the hassle. Got a Focal powered subwoofer. Sound is good with top up. Ok, with top down.

Sound deadening material in the door is a must! Use adequate Dynamat (or equivalent). My system can easily get the rear view mirrors on the doors to start rattling. It almost sounds like the system is clipping or some such THD distortion overload.

Good luck!

Don't forget a little more amp power goes a very long way to make sub-par speakers sound much better. I did the sound deadening part, got a new Sony HU with 45 watts and decided to keep the stock (2009) speakers because it sounded so good! I was quite surprised.

What sub and amp do you recommend with

Polk Audio DB6501 speakers and Pioneer DEH-X6800BT headunit?
