I checked the fuse for the reverse lights that share the same fuse for the dome light according the S2000 manual. That is fine and my dome light works. I also checked to see if the bulbs worked and tried a different set and that wasn't it.

The weird thing is that my dome/map lights work only if I fiddle with it. But when it does work, my reverse lights still don't work.

Any ideas?

 

take a multi-meter and with the red lead put it to green/black found on the drivers kick on a 17 pin white plug and the black lead to ground. It should read 0 Volts and with it in reverse it should read 12+ Volts. if not then It's shorted somewhere or a different fuse is blown that shares the same circuit. Or sounds stupid but maybe both bulbs are out....

 

how about reverse switch unpluged or not working.......

 

^ like he said. Have you had any transmission work done recently? If so, they may not have plugged the reverse switch back up or you may have a bad switch. See if this helps.
