Round vs. Rectangular Ports
I'm in the process of designing/building my dream system for my S2K, and I need some mathematical assistance.
The subwoofer I am using calls for round port (s). For example : Port internal diameter of 9.6 cm, and port length of 20 cm's. Now, if I calculated the internal volume for the port, would it be safe to simply build a rectangular port with the same internal volume? Hopefully there are some enclosure design guru's on this board
The reason I would prefer rectangular is because of the design/room I have to work with for the enclosure.
Thanks BTW: I will post pictures soon of my setup, I've been collecting the gear for 3 years now
