Default RSX Subwoofer Reviews?

I need a little more bass with my setup and I'm just looking for some reviews. How much of a difference does it make? I would really like to save my trunk space and this looks like the best, most cost effective way to go.

how much are the stock rsx woofer?

in any case, you'll get a bit more bass, but don't expect too much from it.

you're better off getting an 8" sub from an aftermarket company (tangband, RE, ID). get the Tangband if you want to spend less than $40 shipped for the sub itself.

It'll take about 0.5 cubic feet sealed or 0.75 cubic feet ported if you want more output. Make the box out of 1/2" MDF instead of the 3/4" because you won't get much flexing from that sub in a small box.

Also, i believe the RSX's sub is mounted IB so i'm not sure how you're going to mount it without making it look funny, unless you do a stealth install.

sparetire sub with aura bass shakers in seatback pockets = good bass

no loss of usuable space, keeps your sparetire for emergencies, and easy install.
