Default Rear Speaker Pods are Ready

For those of you who took an interest in the Roll Bar Speaker Mounting Pods...the first two customer sets are ready to go in.
(Thank you!)

Neil at Rolling Audio has one, and I'll deliver the second to him when your reciever arrives.

If anyone else in the Sacramento club would like a set; I can deliver 1-2 set's per week. The price will remain $200 for Sacto members up until Sac2k days. At that time I plan to raise the price considerably unless I can drastically reduce the production cost and manufacturing time.

A little background: it took me 200+ hours and, $1000 to perfect these...so far. Currently materials cost me $85 per set, take 20-25 hrs to make, and are made up of 78 individual parts. Obviously, I'm not making much. If you missed Blairs BBQ and haven't seen them yet: you won't be disappointed. They are very high quality hand crafted items. They mount 5 1/4 speakers, and improve sound quality greatly over stock. I can actually hear my stereo with the top down at speed now with the stock deck and no amp.

I am intentionally not posting pictures until I'm a little further along in the trademark process. I will e-mail pics to those of you whom I know if you're interested, and will be happy to arrange a demo. Pictures will be posted here and in the marketplace forum when a mass produced version is ready & I can keep up with anticipated demand. This will hopefully take place prior to Sac2k days.

Thanks for your interest,

Mark

Hey Camille,

I hadn't planned a set for you yet, but it looks like I'd better get busy making some more!

Thanks,
Mark

Blair,
Yes they will handle higher wattage, I plan to add an amp in the future. I'm using Pioneer 5 1/4 in TS-1357's (150w max). I'm sure Neil can match what you already have.

See ya tonight.

Blair...
get new panels for your SSSSS from Honda (because yours are cut for the speaker), and we can move your current rear Pioneers from those panels (and put in the new replacement panels) and put the speakers in the S Pods. You have the same speakers in your S as is used in the SPod. BY the way to all....I like the name " S Pod", its for the "S" and its a speaker pod, plus its easy and quick to say

Good idea Neil!

I just happen to have an un-adultered set. We can hook Blair up with the S-Pods and replace his cut panels with my un-cut ones...if that's the option he chooses. Or we can try the system out with the bottom ones still in place and seperates in the S-Pods. What do you think?

Better yet...if it's OK with Blair we can do before & after sound quality tests to see which location rear speakers really sound best in. I'm a little partial, so Blair would make a better un-biased judge.
