dierk-> what are you planning on doing for your sub? what kind of enclosure (Wlaurent i suppose) and what kind of driver? I think you have a very clean install, and i'd like to see the whole set-up when you are done.
Thanks, Willie Gee.

Plan A is to build a ported fiberglass box in the shape of the spare tire cavity for a Digital Designs DD1008.

Plan B is to build a sealed fiberglass box in the spare tire cavity and install the DD1008 or something like the Diamond CM308 or Image Dynamics ID8.

Plan C (if my attempt at fiberglassing turns into a fiasco) is to use WLaurent's box. I suppose then I would uninstall PAS2KNUT's excellent cover. I just hope it doesn't come to that.

Thanks again for your interest.

Well, I've switched up my stereo install a little since I received a 12" Eclispe Aluminum sub for Christmas.

I haven't seen anyone post a picture of a double layer amp rack for the spare tire well so I thought I would post my install to give some others an idea on fitment. Just incase people are afraid of overheating problems with the limited space between the amps, you can run a couple fans to keep the amps cool.

Here are a couple pictures of my install...

I actually have my two JL amps side-by-side in the spare tire area. I was concerned about overheating and rubbing between the top of the amps and the glass window. I removed the plastic tray between the cabin and trunk.

I'm interested in your measurements, if that's ok?
