What do you have your second tweeters hooked up to? Rear channels of your deck?

I've been wanting to do it for a while--one of the few shortcomings I can find with my current system is that it sounds like the sounds are coming from a too-low source...
I would recommend adding the tweeters in the pillars. I first tested it out by hooking up a pair of Pioneer tweeters and kinda taped them in place. I was very impressed so I purchased the Focal TN45 tweeters (same that come with the component system).

The tweeters are wired in parallel with the front speakers (2 ohm load) and channels 3&4 are bridged to the sub.

Yes, it is finally in! Enough talking about it, let me show you all what I can.

HU: Alpine CDA-9813
Amp: Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.4
Speakers (Front Only): MB Quart Reference Components RCE216
Modifry's DCI

Power cable routed through passenger side door sill. Interconnects, speaker wire, and remote power on routed through center console;and I do mean INSIDE the console, not along side of it.

nctional, which is all I really need in the trunk.[/PHOTO]

I will post pictures of the speakers, and most importantly, the crossovers (those huge monsters), sometime over the next week or so; I have to pull the doors apart, and have not had time (or weather) to do it.

bravo!

very nice and clean looking... i love the veritcal amp mounting and i'm quite envious that i wasn't able to do it myself! routing between the panels was a great choice imho.

here's one little wiring tip -- this is a minor one.
your red boot on the battery? take a small knife or some scissors - and cut a tiny slot in one corner to allow the amp power wire to fit. this gives you the flush look and allows the boot to do it's job.

funny thing is, i look at my own pic above, and i have the slit cut, but hadn't fit it around the wire at that time... doh! so much for saying... "check out my pic above..."

So you enjoyed the beautiful day by taking apart what you just spent good money to someone to put together?

j/k Thanks for the pix, looks very nice.

Ruexp67,

Looking back at that decision, not the wisest way to spend a beautiful day.

w00t.

thanks for the pics and update! i was curious as to what they specifically did to get that crossover in there, since it was such a monster.

and, while i too question the wisdom of taking things apart on a beautiful day... i know the feeling... that definitely sounds like something i'd do...
do ever get the impression that you might be a geek? i know i'm pretty settled on the idea that i might be one....
