Where did you end up putting your amp?

I just got this same sub setup yesterday. He may have put his amp where I put mine - I moved my amp to where my spare tire USED to be (and added a separate amp for the sub under the driver's seat). No spare now. Hello AAA and run flat spray.

Your car has been evolving nicely! Do you have any updated pics?

Here's my installation:

Headunit: Alpine CDA-9831
Amplifier: Rockford Fosgate 201s
Speakers: Polk Db650
Wiring: Stinger Pro Series.
Other: Modifry DCI to keep dash controls

Headunit. If you look up in the vent you can see the DCI.

Here is the amp on a Pas2kNut rack.

Amp rack cover with window

Wiring under hood

Enjoy and feel free to ask questions.

I don't think I ever posted photos of my above gas tank Boston GT-40 install here.
4-channel and 2-channel RCAs, as well as twisted-pair speaker wires heading

and installed above gas tank:
Im thinking on re wiring my sistem and putting amp in this same location, but im a little scare of it over heating? it already gets preatty hot sitting vertically(in front of tank), would this be a problem?

If you remove the tray, there is plenty of airspace, even more cool air getting to it b/c you have the A/C air reaching the area when the top is up. MAny people run amps without a problem in that area. Mine overheated a little, but then removed the tray and no more problems.
