The CDA 105 is a great HU for the money. If you're replacing stock, you're going to love it. I put mine in last week and couldn't be happier except......now I need to upgrade the speakers! Be sure to check out Modifry's DCI for Alpine.

Those Type R's will go even further with a good amp. Right now they are being underpowered. Nice put together though. I put an Alpine iDA x303 with the Alpine SPS600C speaker sets in mine (tweeters and woofers) and I love it.

HU: Alpine iDA-X305
Speakers: Alpine SPR-17S
Amp: Alpine MRV-F340
cut down the mounts so i could mount the alpine tweeters where the factory were
mounted x-overs in the door panel
made spacers so i could use the oem baskets, didnt work out because the door panel would stick out about .5 to an inch (failed) end up only using the spacers i made earlier.
than i made a custom mount for my amp with out drilling any holes to bolt the rack down. i used the original spot where the spared tire was bolted down but i just used a smaller bolt (get pix later)
sound amazing. no road noise or wind noise with windows down. its crazy. havent gone top down yet. best thing is i used all existing holes to mount everything other than the x overs
Hi, I just got an AP2 S2K and I am going to be upgrading the sound system. It came with a basic kenwood unit and a Planet Audio Amp.but I'll be replacing it with an Alpine CDA 117
So far I have canton components and alpine 5ch amp. Anyone know what is the length of RCAs to the tire well?

Mine's 6m and is a little too long. It depends on where you run it though--I ran it down the passenger side, not the center.
Sorry if I sound like a noob. but I am not at home to take measurements.
And what pac controller is recommended for the use of the audio controls. I just ordered the Alpine CDA 117
is this the correct one? WI-JACK PAC
I'm operating from an iPhone. so I am limited in the search engine.
