Finally decided to install my sub yesterday. It's been sitting in my room for around 4 months. I took it out of my previous car when I sold it to get the S and never got around to putting it in. I was very happy to find the box fit in the trunk w/o mods and matched the fabric color.

And also the mounting bracket i whipped up to hold the fuse. I used a couple pre-existing screws so i didn't have to drill anywhere. and I can still access my fuse box too.

What are the dimensions on that enclosure? Thanks

Here's the install I did for a memeber on here... it has MB quartz in the picture, but we upgraded to alpine Type R components.

It was in Rays car... another member bought it when he sold it... I had to spruce it up a bit.. the blue and the handle reallly didn't look to good :-) box build was nice though

Hey guys, I was curious about something. I used to have a 750 watt sub in the trunk and a 200 watt max amp. Well, my sub got thrashed by objects sliding around, and I need another sub. I still have the amp though. I was recently told I should get a sub that has similar watt max as my amp. Is this true? And will it sound just like my old sub since it may have been pushing out only 200 watts out of 750 this entire time anyways due to my 200 watt amp? A sales guy at Best Buy told me to get a 300 watt sub since its closest to what they had for my amp. Will it sound pretty simillar to my old sub since my amp can only push out a certain amount of watts (200 max)?

a sub that is made for more power will sound about the same (or slightly better) due to better materials. The only reason I could see buying a sub made for less power is price

I have a Kicker kx700.1 amp (1400w peak) and a 10" Kicker L7 (1200w peak) and have been pounding on it with tons of double bass from metal and some rap and it is still perfect.
