The ballast is made by Mitsubishi Electric, and the bulb is more than likely a Osram/Sulvania D2S. The bulb is made by many manufacturers, but I'm not 100% on what is stock. They all are compatible though. the ballast on the S is a 35w ballast. Are you looking to mod it?

What temperature is a white light? Would 6000k be white or have a tint of blue in it, not really looking for blue.

And I am aware from light output being lost, just not sure what 6000k looks like, I don't really trust any pictures.

6000k has a good bit of blue in it at 35w. most all HID systems from the factory are 35w. i think most manufacturers use a 4300k bulb. that produces a light that is closest to sunlight.

i have DDM tuning 55w ballasts and 6000k bulbs. with the upped wattage, it washes out some of the color in the bulbs so the 6000k's at 55w look morel like the 4300k's at 35w, but with more output.

you can get bulbs from ddmtuning.com lifetime warranty on all their stuff i think.

dezymond, heres a pic of my headlights (6000k at 55w) with about 3-4 hours run time on them. still have a bit of "burn in" left in them.

this picture below had the brights on, obviously. bulbs are DDM tunings hyper white H1 bulbs. not very white if you ask me.

Jimmy thanks for the pics, really appreciate it. Sorry but i don't know what you mean by "burn in" meaning the bulbs haven't warmed up completely? That's the color I get when my bulbs are warming up, but when it's settled it looks yellow, i'm sure you know what i mean. Man, you can really see the blue when the high beams are on, didn't think it would make that big of a difference. I like the look

As for your high beams, might wanna get around 7500k (less than 8000k, for sure). I put in bulbs like that on my civic and they came out white with a hint of blue at 8500k.

Thanks for the website too!

WOW! these bulbs are really only $25!?!? Damn, I searched around and not even ebay is this cheap. Before I pull the trigger, how long have you had the bulbs in the pic installed? Cheapest one I've seen was $50, $25 is a steal!
