burn in is basically the break in time of the bulb. when brand new, they will appear to have more color than they will after they burn in.

ive had the bulbs in for about a month or so. visually comparing to the stock bulbs ($160 EACH at the stealership) i couldnt tell any difference in quality.

id say go for it if you can replace the bulbs without removing the bumper. if i remember correctly you'll need a tamper proof T25 bit to get the cover off the back of the head light. other than that, just take the front wheel off, and pull back the fender liner to get access.

let me know if i can help any more.

Thanks Jimmy, appreciate all the help. I actually heard you just need to turn the tires a bit and you're good, no need to jack the car up and take the tire off. I always thought the install was a simple plug-n-play without really removing anything like in my civic, but since it seems like a bit more work I've been hesitant to get new bulbs, not to mention I've never seen bulbs this cheap.

Dunno what a T25 bit is, but when I look at it I'm sure I can figure it out. If not I'll ask around my local forum board and see if anyone can help me install.

One more question: once they "burn in" will it appear more white or blue? I'm thinking of getting the 6000k since I have a feeling the 5000k will have a hint of yellow, which I don't want.

http://www.amazon.com/Torx-Socket-Tamper-P...y/dp/B00078V7B6

theres a link to amazon selling some torx bits. i was in a bit of a hurry typing the last response as my laptop battery was dying. the set i bought was like 3 bucks at harbor freight.

when i installed my bulbs, i replaced the ballasts too. i took the bumper off to do all of that, so im not sure how much of a PITA it is to go through the fender well.

after the bulbs burn in, they will appear more white / less blue. hope that helps!

dont feel like editing the last post, but are you replacing balasts as well? or are you sticking with the stock ballasts? if you're staying stock, then a 6000k bulb will look more blue compared to what mine are. if staying stock, id recommend getting a 5000k ish bulb.
