The data I've seen says to expect between a 10% and 40% degredation if you freeze a fully-charged lithium battery then bring it back to normal operating temps (room temp). However, the same articles say any permanent damage is slight (1-3%).

Just make sure you charge it, and use it, when it's at room temperature!

Remember you don't have a LiPo battery its a LiFe. "Iron" batteries are much safer from a fire/overcharging/discharging/cell failure point of view.

I suggest turning on your side markers for a minute or two to warm the battery up.

This will be my last update, as I recently traded in the S2k.

In the year that I had it, I never had any problems with this battery. During the warm months, the car cranked up instantly and you couldn't tell I had a different battery in it. During the winter months, flipping on the headlights would warm the battery up and I'd be on my way within about 2-3 minutes. It should also be noted that I had an aftermarket headunit, 6.5 speakers, and an amp in the car. These extra accessories ran just fine.

I can't speak as to the longevity of the battery, but overall, I was very pleased with it.

Thank you for the update!

I'm sorry to hear about the trade. I hope you get back in the s2k down the road. All the best and stick around
