Is that just for reinforcement?
The tinsel lead is a single strand of high gauge copper leading from each of the pos/neg terminals to the voice coil. There's one small point where the wire tends to break (esp during install). I posted pics 9 months or so ago showing the lead and the epoxy.

In my truck, I was using SEAS Prestige 7 1/2's. In my S I run ScanSpeak Rev 5 1/2's (custom fiberglass enclosures for each).

For what it's worth, the Revelators are noticeably more full/easier to tune than the SEAS woofers.
did you try the revelators first w/o the enclosure?

Nope. Because they're uncoated paper cones. Thus, they'd last about 2 minutes unprotected from the elements before the cones turn to mush.

What type of epoxy should be used?

Nothing special. I think I used model glue.

Basically just need something there to keep the tinsel lead from moving/take stress off the lead.

I missed this last post, sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead.

After 5 months of daily listening I can't give enough praise to these SEAS tweeters. My system is now perfect. The harshness was completely eliminated, the sound is so warm and full now I can't believe it.

These tweeters and mids are just an absolutely fantastic combo.

Is this where I get to say: "I told you so"?

Typically I would say no.....but in this case it's highly warranted. You were completely right, and thanks for the suggestion as well.

Sweet! I has hoping you would return to update this thread, and great to see that you are finding the combo to sound so good.

Are you using the passive crossovers that came with the PRS set, or running these active?
