there was a sticky about please dont post incorrect facts. stock hu being shitty is one of those incorrect facts.
x 4000 posts.I guess my evidence are the dozens of S2000 owners going "OOOHHH SH!T" when i put a headunit in and nothing else.
Doest matter if you agree with me or not. I dont care if you have some magic fairy that can make a stock headunit sound good. You can post 4000 links to 8000 pages. You are just wrong. I have heard a bunch of s2000s with systems running stock headunits, and they were dirtier than a Danish whorehouse.
Glad you have the time to insult other people's intelligence (calling him a tool) while contributing absolutely nothing to the thread.
P.S. It seems to me, that lately, everyone who has ever been associated with Seas or whatever, has been a massive know-it-all-d!ck.

answer one simple question for me. if i am wrong, then how did this guy with a stock radio win one of the top SQ challenges? if the signal is bad, there is no way he could have beaten them right? or if he puts a new radio in, his difference is going to be "OHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIT!!!".
i am busting the myth(incorrect fact), and yet the people who are arguing for the myth cant take it that they are wrong. that is normal human behavior. from now on, i will keep my mouth shut.
i called him a tool because he is. he could have used the alpine processor in conjuction with the h701 and had a whole lot more tuning options.

As far as your friend winning the SQ challenge....I dont know. I wasnt there. I never heard his car. I didnt hear the cars he was up against. I do however, know the s2000. The stock radio puts out VERY VERY muddy sound. You can get the best line level converters you want, it will NOT sound as good as a nice headunit. This has been tested by many many members, and yields the biggest difference in the s2000.
And surely you dont believe that all headunits STOCk are created equally? Your friend's TL headunit developed by panasonic to deliver high end DVD audio is NOT the same as the s2000 8W per channel headunit.
Good luck with everything.

Speakers = what kind of music do you listen to?
Sub = Alphasonik PSW810. One of the best subs I have ever used. I have one in my car. After me, 30+ people got one, and all have been happy. Sub switched, and became unhappy.
Amp = how do you want to mount it?
Misc. = Wiring..... www.knukonceptz.com about 40 bucks for everything, maybe a bit more.
[QUOTE=SebringDemon,Jun 28 2006, 10:04 PM]<snip>...the only thing i will say that i have concrete evidence on is, stock radios are not pieces of craps. you just have to know how to get a good signal out of them.
