Default Side Grill Lights

I have been getting hassled for my clear corners. Washington State law says there must be an Amber reflector of the front of the car. I am wondering if I can put lights in place of the side grills. If so where would I get them?

It would be a custom fab. Basically any fog light would work. Search for fog lights and a screen name of "Rick Hesel" He has a nice setup.

Why not install an amber bulb? that won't pass inspection?

I've got clear sidemarkers with an amber bulb. They pass and look great.

Yeah I think they're just busting on ya... a little to hard out there. One would think that given the way the world is that they would have bigger and badder thing s to deal with...

Have you read the law yourself? The police are often misinformed about the letter of the law. I keep a copy of the CA vehicle code relating to this in my car. In CA it states that Amber must show through the side markers...therefore Amber bulbs & clear lenses are OK here. This may not be the case for you, but it's worth checking.

Dont bother. The law (i dont live in washington, but its 99% the same) ...the amber blinkers have to be near the headlights.....either in, or adjacent to them. So fog turn signals, will not be sufficient. Just put in silver amber bulbs (something like silvervisions) or just spray paint your own amber bulbs, and be done with it.
