Default side marker rewiring

anyone know how to rewire the sidemarkers so they stay on with the headlights and blink alternatively with the signals?

Have not looked at them in a while - thinking they are just on solid now when the head lights are on? Correct me if I am wrong.

Assuming I am correct you could tap into the turn signal on each side. Use that 12 volt signal to trigger a relay. Wire the side marker lights to the normally closed contact - whenever the turn signal lamp blinks on the side marker would go off.

I think you will have to get a dual element bulb and socket, then wire one to parking lights and the other to turn sugnals.

And the "side markers", as they are always (incorrectly) called, are really side turn signals. I wonder how that nomenclature got started?

^This is the easiest way to do it. Re-wire the signals so they are powered via the headlight circuit but feed them through a relay that is powered by the original side signal wires. Then when the turn signals flash the side signals will flash too (but opposite of course).
