Default Side markers stay on AND blinks?

I did plenty of searches, but nothing good comes up.. so my question is: Does anyone know how to make it so that our side markers stay on with the parking lights, but also blinks when I put on my signals.

Been looking for an answer for this but no luck.

Why?

Anyway, to answer your question, .....for you, the answer is no.

I dont mean to sound mean or anything, but if you are asking this question, means that this is too high of an electric project for you. Just to elaborate....

Bulbs that blink and stay on are dual filament...There are very few bulbs that small that fit inside the sidemarker. Even if you found one, youll have to run wires to the parking lights, and switch the bulb housings, because the stock ones wouldnt work. Its a whole lot of labor for nothing.

regular LEDs are regulated voltage. They are either on or off. They cannot be dimmed (in a normal sense)

Note, I am talking about regular LEDs. Im sure modifry or macgyver have 45 dollar per bulbs LEDs that are capable of this, but not the radioshack bad boys.

Yep... my Sidemarker Lights were designed with this exact purpose in mind. You have to take the sidemarker apart to get the module in there, but after that it's gravy

I have one. Doubt you'd like the solution.

I don't have wiring diagrams, so you'll need to figure out the wiring on your own. If you can understand the jist of what I am saying, then OK. If not, leave it alone.

You need two relays.

Wire the parking lights to the relay in the "normally closed" configuration and connect the other end to the side marker. That way when the parking lights are on, the side markers are on.

Wire the turn signal to the coil, so when the turn signal lights up, the relay opens the contact and the side marker goes off.

The side marker will blink opposite of the turn signals, but that's the easy way.

Repeat on the other side with the other relay.

Now for my two cents: Every time you mess with the car's wiring you ask for disaster. Crap works loose, stuff stops working, fuses blow, etc. I learned my lesson long ago not to mess with it.

EDIT: Meh, works great as long as the parking lights are on. Otherwise no side markers at all with no parking lights.
Hmm... now I wish I was more electrically inclined and all this stuff made sense to me.

Darn it... so there's no easy answer? How about just having them come on when the car is on (like DRL's for the side), but no longer blinking? Would that be easier?

Thanks to all that have helped.
