Default A simple question for the ICE Guru's

I know that someone can answer this simple little question (although Ill bet this is not as simple as I think it is)

I would like to find out what the standard head unit is in the S (01 and 02 models).

I think that cars up to 01 were fitted with a Bose 2SAI or 2SFO, and that the 02 is fitted with a Bose ISA3.

Is that correct?

Regards

John

Do a search, but it wasn't Bose, I know that for sure (OK, 99.973%)...I want to say it was something starting with an A or an M, but things are kind of fuzzy from a late night.

Hi Mac,

It could be that the UK unit and the European are different. I am looking for information on the UK spec unit specifically, so i may ask the question oin the UK forum (although many of them frequent this area too).

The reason is that I know of someone who is thiking of making an Aux inteface for the standard UK head unit to an MP3 player. I have a versionof the plyer and they have asked me what the stock headunit is in the S2K .

Glad you had a good night...I am off hole to open a bottle or two of good read wine, and chill

I got your PM on this. US 2002 ones are subbed out to Alpine. I have a UK deck at the shop and believe it to be an alpine as well not 100% on this. 00-01 US decks are DEFINATELY Matsushita/Panasonic.

Thanks for your help with this, great input.

Lucid, I know this is really cheeky but I ma going to ask anyway. Is there a chance that you could take a take a snap of the Uk unit you have in the shop, specifically of the CD bus connector .

I have been told that the NSX has a slightly modified Alpine MBUS h/u that's fairly easy to integrate to, so we are wondering whether the same applies to S2k. As this connection is specifically for the Dension MP3 player to link tot he stock h/u and retail the dash controls I don't think I am treading on anyone else's toes

Regards

John
