Smoked Radio door
Has anyone tried to do a smoked radio door?
Something that will be dark when off, but will become more transparent when the HU lights up? also allows IR signals through?
Reason being, i am deciding between this (if it is possible) or a PAC IR-X to relay IR signals.
i could do a Pioneer CD-MR70 to my DEH-P400UB HU, but a PAC is cheaper and a radio door would also allow me to see the display for MP3s.
thoughts?
can this be made with a mold and some epoxy type material?
Dave
P.S> i was searching for 4 hours while on webexs and didnt find anything.

from the look of those pics, i don't think that install was a door. looks like its just the plexi and i dont think it opens or closes.
anyone have an extra old door lying around that they want to disassemble?
