So I blew my 12" sub and bought a new one...
Ok so I have a box that fits in the tool well of my s2k, I bought it off my friend with a boston acoustic 12" subwoofer in there. A few months later the sub blew and I bought a new one : Rockford Fosgate - Punch 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer

I tried to drop it in and the subwoofer is just a little too big, it won't fit flush with the box, it has enough clearance on all sides except for the diameter. What should I do?? The mounting diameter on the manual says 11.25' and my hole is only 11' wide.
Can a stereo shop enlarge the hole in the box just a little more? I'm thinking about just filing down the edges of the hole to make it bigger.
Thanks in advanced

Ok so I got too impatient to wait so I borrowed a dremel and opened up the hole a bit and bam! It fits!
I'm not too familiar about sound systems but should I be feeling a flow of air coming out of the box? (its supposed to be sealed) When I got the bass going you can feel air being pushed out from around the front. I'm guessing I didn't do a good enough job screwing in the sub??

No you shouldn't feel any air moving at all. You also should have sealed the sub into the box with a thin strip of weather stripping. And yes you want to screw the sub down tight. But just don't strip the screw holes out.

Oh ok I gotta stop by home depot then, I believe I made it large enough, I was on the dremel for about 15 minutes. When I dropped it in it was flush on all sides.
