Default Soft Top Help.

Hello All,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but since it's electronically opened I guess it will do.

My soft top only opens so far and then stops and I have to get out and jimmy it so it sits properly. I've recently installed modifry straps to try remedy it but its not done a huge amount.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is as far as it will go using the switch.

-Alex

It's hard to tell from these photos but my hunch would be that the second bar is not folding back all the way like it should. Are your modifry straps really tight? They should be

Also confirm there is nothing on top of the rear deck prohibiting the soft top from sitting flush.

My modifry straps are very tight yes. I can barely force a finger under them.

The rear deck is clear, it sits flush after I get out and wiggle the roof a bit.

Its the first crossbar on the top. Its not in the correct position either up or down. Make sure you work the bar so it sits in the crease of the top.

I saw this on a guy's car once. He stopped me to ask about it on his car. I told him to get the Modifry straps and when he came over to install, we saw the bar was misaligned. I applied some pressure to reposition it correctly, then we installed the straps. He never contacted me after, so I guess it still works!

If you reposition the bar and your straps are bad, make sure you push that bar towards the rear of the car while putting the top down and it will fold properly. Its a 2 handed operation, but its the proper way to do it.

Sorry it took me a while to reply.

you were correct, I pushed on the front bar as the top closed and it went down flawlessly.

Thank you for your help.
