Default Some electrical problems

well i just bought a 2000 s2k, but i have found somethings that don't work. Cruise control has power up to the cruise power switch but it will not engage. The alarm system doesn't seem to be working at all. I replaced the remote battery, but it had no effect on the problem. I tried looking for blown fuses but couldn't find the fuses for these two. I think the problem is that some wires had not been reconnected when the engine was removed for the paint job. Any help is much appreciated.

Someone could of unplugged the plug that goes to the actual cruise control buttons. if the car was ever in an accident they might of taken off the stearing wheel.. I see that happens alot of times..

I'm not sure what help we will be if you can't find the fuses for those systems. Suggest you try the dealer for some diagnostics.

Do you have any lights on the dash like the CEL or the EPS light?

Are you sure that you actually have an alarm? Alarm is a dealer installed option or aftermarket only.

Well, I would start by trying to meter at the switch to see if you get 12v when it's pressed, and if not, then move further down the line till you locate and/or isolate the problem.

...As I'm sure you know; you don't want to use a test light, incase you are on air bag wires.
