Default Sony Amps?

I just bought a small Sony amp to power my componets up front. I haven't ever used Sony, but have heard they are pretty bad from a couple of sources on the web. I just wanted to know did I make a big mistake by getting this amp? I can't see how it would be that bad since I'm using it to power small speakers?

The problems I have heard reported are mostely in terms of component failures down the line. My Sony HU has worked flawlessly for over 2.5 years.

If you got a good deal on it, then rock it 'till it fails. Then get something else if you need to.

If you use a Sony amp with a pirated Sony CD, the amp will lock you out of your car and report you to the police....
