I am looking for a source to get some cooling fans. My amp is located where the spare tire used to be, and it overheated for the second time in three years. I am not worried about it on a regular basis (as it has been VERY hot this week.) However, I would like to put some cooling in place.

I was considering powering the fan directly off of the remote turn on lead to the amp. Obviously I would be looking for a 12vdc fan. My plan is to mount it to the spare tire cover piece so a light piece would be ideal (I could use 2-3 if needed.)

Any suggestions?

 

Sorry guys. I found a better search term (cooling) and found what I was looking for.

I ordered some relays, holders and fans off of the parts express website. I spent $31 for two fans, 4 relays and 4 holders. (I have some additional uses for the extra relays.)

When I am done with my project I will detail it so it can be added to the FAQ.
