Please help me on making an amp mount to visibly see it. I dont want it to be inside the tire. How do you mount it? I also wanna hide the wires. Anybody???

i took the cardboard that laid over the toolwell... traced it on .5" MDF... cut it out. amp fits perfectly on it.. sits flush inside toolwell... takes up minimum space and i wouldnt have to nail anything to the back of the car.

wires are visible... but i suppose you can cut holes in the carpet and run it under there.

if you need a shield or cover of some sort..which is really unecessary... you could trace a large perimeter and cut it out of plexiglass or wood something and itll sit over the amp (cuz tool well is tapered)

Im sorry. I needed the cover to go over where the carpeted tire cover goes. I want to mount my amps vertical which are perpendicular to the ground. Thanks though

Maybe I mounted mine like you want? I just mounted a board to the back carpet using tapping screws and mounted the amp to that. All the wires were pulled taught to behind the bulkhead in the trunk, then I replaced the spare tire cover, minus one of the plugs that keeps it in place since the mounting board covers that last hole. This will work if your amp isn't too big.

Do you want yours to go all the way across the back of the trunk?

Its easier posting pics than emailing them to you. If you never built anything before, this isnt easy.

Amps mounted on this board screwed into frame of car.

Beauty board carpeted, plexied and mounted over the amps, pressure fitted.

Eventually going to finish off the sides with a similar setup, but with the crossovers mounted there. I recommend letting a good audio shop build it for you.
