Speaker Size and count for 2005 S2K
The stupid booklet from honda only says " Four Speakers"...
Like that helps me out! Also most of the online car guides just point you to the first matching item (Like Crutchfields). So my question is:
Does anyone know the size and number of speakers in the 2005 S2000? I did not order the headrest speakers, and when I test drove it, I know there are at least 1 in each door, but what size? Are there any others located about the interior?
I'll probably go with Infinity Kappa series. I wanted to go with MOREL, but my money tree in the back yard died last last night after getting clobbered by Hurricane Wilma, so Infinity is the best I can do at this time...

Get the Kappa's, they sound nice, they can almost sound ok on a stock HU, but I still would recommend getting a new HU, it make a world of difference. If someone tells you it doesn't... they haven't tried it

If you are getting a 2006 you also have some sort of speakers in the roll bars according to the brochure. They can't be very big there!
Definitely go listen to speakers before you buy, the difference between them can be astounding. They will sound different in your car, but at least you can get some idea.
Also think about efficiency. If you are not going to amp, then you need at least 90db efficiency (and many here will say that you should STILL amp) and you should listen to them that way to see whether they really will work out for you without an amp.
I ended up choosing Infinity Reference 6010cs speakers and a Pioneer HU (no amp for now) along with Modifry's DCI so that I can have dash controls. I have been installing them today and plan to finish up in the morning.

The speakers are the best part of the stock system. I replaced the head unit with an Alpine unit with an active crossover, ran a second pair of wires to each door to drive the tweeters and woofers separately, and am using the internal crossover and time correction in the Alpine. It sounds so good that my plans to buy replacement drivers are on hold until I'm really bored.
