Default Speaker wires

Wanted to ask what gauge wires are you guys running on your components? From tweeter to crossover, door speaker to crossover, and crossover to amp? Right now I have 12 gauge rockford fosgate wires but the sleeves are thick. I dont know how I can get these threw the door.

use a metal hanger and cut the flat bottom peice off and go from the door into the car. Take about 6 inch's of the wire and electric tape it to the hanger section you cut off. I just did this with speaker wire. The wire was apx 1/4 inch X 1/8 inch in dimention. There is a black rubber peice between the door and car that you will ba able to make the wire go through just make sure when you push the metal hanger peice through the door side you do it close enough to the other wires, and be sure there are not sharp spots on the cut peice of that metal hanger peice

12 gauge wiring to your components sounds waaaaaay overkill, unless you're running like 750 watts to each set of components. 16 gauge should be sufficient for typical car audio installations, even fairly well powered setups.
