speakers go out when sound is too high

Default speakers go out when sound is too high

hi...i'm still noob when it comes to sound systems but i juss installed my sound system in couple weeks ago...i have a sony deck, infinity basslink II sub, polk momo mmc6500 speakers and an amp that is a 2 channel 250+250W amp....i believe all the connections r rite but when i turn up my speakers too loud my amp shuts off and my speakers dont work n e more....amp fuse never goes out i juss have to reset it and it works again but then goes shuts off again when its too loud....anyone kno y? is it my amp?

The amp is going into protect mode...check the gains and the connections...what kind of amp is it?

amp is some DHD power cruiser NHX-2007...its kinda old but it works...i dont even kno wat HPF, LPF is....

HPF=High Pass Filter. You should be able to figure out the other. Those, however, should have nothing to do with your amp shutting off. If your gains are set and all your power/ground connections are good to go, maybe the amp is going out?
