do our cars have a speed sensitive radio volume circuit (model year 2000)?
i still have the oem radio and thought i read somewhere that the car has a speed sensitive volume circuit that is disabled.

Nope.

I built one for my OEM radio but don't have it anymore. It bumped the volume one notch at 30mph and another at 60.

I could make you a custom DCI to do automatic volume on the OEM radio, but that's pretty expensive (~$100) for just that feature. You're probably better off getting an after-market radio if you're going to invest in a DCI.

hey thanks for the quick reply!!!

set me straight here: dci= dash control interface???

hmmm, i had planned on keeping the oem radio for now. (already installed a/d/s amp, a/d/s components in the doors, mb quart co-axials behind the seats..).
HUGE improvement for $225 total (all fantastic deals on ebay).

now my main issue is constantly raising/lowering the volume in stop and go traffic.

was considering the nakamichi mb100 or cd400 for the future. will these work with the dci you mention and have a speed control volume feature???

truly appreciate the help!! thanks!
