Started the Trunk well, sub/speaker project
Ok, it has begun. I will have pics soon. I have completely removed the soft top, and the trunk plastic well. A 10" square Kicker solo sub is being placed in the center with undecided coaxel's (sp) going on the far left and right of rear cabin. The plan for now is a MDF wood box with a black plexi-glass top for looks, no neon or anything because I'm not that skilled and no fiberglass. The spare tire has been removed and the box has a bend in it to go over the gas tank to maximize air space. The amps (2) will be mounted vertically just on the other side of the rear strut towerbrace. I'll keep ya'all updated.

Just finished the base portion of the box, still needs to be secured. I also need to buy my amps, co-axels and head unit next week before I go any further. Any suggestions? The solobaric is perfect for the small box, and it is ready to go. I need to power 4 speakers and a sub.
Got the anmp today. Precision Power 440c amp with 400 wats, 4 channel amp. The revised plan is to have the sub peek up through the factory well with the amp the spare tire spot. The separates are Mb Quart and will be going in this week in the factory door spots. Head unit is undecided till next week. Only one amp will be used, bridge for the sub and the separates. So there are now 2 tweets, 2mids and 1 10" sub. the box needs to be rebuilt, I went too big the first time. It is amazing how little air that the solo subs need.

Oh, it is a L7, I started the re-work this morning, and scrapped the original box. will have rough pics tomorrow morning. box is now 10.75x10.75x10.75. with a platform on the spare tire side for the amp. What separates sould I get the ones I got are older MB Quarts about 4" and tweets?

I know I know pics, they are on the way.
Has anyone here ever tried lining their box with spray truck bedliner like a Rhino Liner but thinner. I am going to give it a shot to "rubberize" and deaden the vibration loss through the sides of the wood so the air is driven up and out and there is less loss. Any comments?
