Default Stealth installation

Since I'd like to build my new system stealth, I consider an amp and a sub within the spare-tire area, in order to keep the trunk space.

My Question, did anyone of you guys built a stealth system as well?
Is there a way to install a sub into the spare-area?

Any suggestions?

Yes people have done it. Its not to hard to do... you need to use a smaller sub like an 8" or you could do a slimline 10" I saw on guy with a 10W6 in there... but it was a very custom job.

Yes, I have my sub in the spare tire space [spare is left in the garage].
I did not personally do the installation so cannot give details but it does work well, and I do not lose valuable trunk space.

I don't no. If you look through the different installs in the sticky at the top of the forum it might be in there...

Do you have pix?
Which components did you choose?
Are you satisfied with the setup?

I have a 4x50W amp and a 2x40w amp above the gas tank and kept the spare. Here's a pic before the 2x40 was added:

You will find more examples of stealth installs if you do a search.

Also did this for the subwoofer details

Sorry, no pix, and my car is currently not at my home.
Yes, I am very satisfied with the "stealth" setup.

I did it in my 04. All the stuff was just removed and is for sale also.

Dynaudio 3 way system with mids in the kickers, Audison 250 LRX amp with special bracket to mount over gas fill, Eclipse headunit, DCI, alarm, sirius, and can still carry the spare tire.

I'm currently trying to figure out how to stealth a larger amp. May not be possible or affordable.

^ Trying to figure out the same thing. Kinda wondering if I could mount one under the convertible tray. Also has anyone come up with any ideas to cool the area above the gas tank (next to the spare tire)? Seems like a great place to mount an amp but heat build up is gonna be an issue.
