Default Stealthbox users and others - custom subwoofer cover

Hey I saw a picture of what the cover of the JL stealthbox subwoofer looks like. I was trying to make this but didn't know materials JL used. If anyone has the stealthbox and could tell me what type of material the carpet hides please let me know.

Or if you have an idea of another type of cover that will hide my subwoofer box in the tool well but still let the sound pass through and not vibrate please let me know.

J&J- it's about 1/8" thick. Not sure what the actual name for the board is, but it reminds me of the backing for less expensive entertainment center, drawers, and cabinets. Of course, a speaker grille covers the hole underneath the carpet.

Have you come up w/ a solution? Hadn't forgotten about you; just haven't made up my mind yet.

Here is my take. Not the best picture. The board is MDF and the grate is super strong steel from HD bent out n up to give some lift and let air move. The whole piece is removeable to show the sub.

Good luck!

Well I went to Lowes this morning and got a couple 2 x 4 sheets of MDF. I have an idea in my head to make something like a truck box that will fit in the well. It won't fit perfectly like the JL box or other custom boxes, but I will make a cover and you won't be able to tell that it doesn't fit the well perfectly.

I found a great deal on a CDT 10" sub that doesn't require a whole lot of space. I think once it is all put together the total cost for the woofer and box will be less than $140. Not bad?
