I have the PAC, and no issues for me. If I could do it all over again, I'd go with Modifry.

 

Can Modifry's harness work on Sony headunits? Will I need to take extra steps?

 

I use Modifry's wired DCI with my Sony.

I think the harness he sells also has the lighting wires, whereas many others do not.

what does factory Channel and Mode buttons do when you have say the ASWC-1 wired to a recent Pioneer headunit?

trying to see if it's even worth wiring up (Modifry's is a bit costly to me)
