Post Stereo installation

Hey guys im a complete noob when it comes to this stuff. i previously posted a question about an alarm installation and its way over my head. anyways im hoping stereo installation is a little more simple.

i get good deals from best buy so i was hoping to get a stealth box (not from BB) amp head unit that works great with an ipod and some alpine type R's since they are like the best best buy has to offer. anyway i know their installation is horrible i learned that from my alarm install.

ANYWAYS i wanted to know how hard this would be to install for a complete noob having to do with everything the only things iv ever done so far is a CAI and removed my s2000 emblems lol so i dont really know what im doing but i want to learn! can anyone point me in the right direction?? Also best buy told me the type R's would not fit... i heard multiple times this is not true from you guys, im wondering how i can make this fit possible??? thanks a million guys. im not 100% ready to buy yet so i just need somewhere to start. thanks!!

Where are you located?

And I HIGHLY recommend you read the FAQ at the top of the page... it has so much info in it. We can fill in the blanks for you... but before we even start down the that road lets have you at least read some of it.

For starters I can build you a better sub box than that JL box for a lot less cash than a brand new one of those Check out the GB, its in my sig

Next:
1. Post is what type of music you listen to..
2. How you listen to it(treble up high/middle/low, bass high/middle/low)
3. What you hate about the stock setup(I know this seems like a stupid question but you'd be surprized at the answers I get)
4. What you want to change first and why...

Do all that and I can lead you down the road pretty well, so you can get exactly what your after...... whether you know what that is yet or not...

okay first off im over in Southern California. Im interested in your sub box and id be in your GB but im just not quite ready to spend the money on everything JUST yet!

1. i listen to rock 95% techno like the other 5% lol but i dont tell anyone about that part.
2. i listen to my music with mid-high treble/and high bass
3. i hate that when i have my bass pegged out on 6 and want to hear it on the freeway i feel like the speakers are gunna pop. Also id love to bring my ipod and control it thru my deck since i hate messing with CDs. also sound quality (bass) can be much improved.
4. well i plan to change everything pretty much all at once (speakers, tweaters, amp, sub,HU) but if i had to choose it would have to be the head unit because id love to use my ipod thru my car stereo.

thanks for the help so far!!

Well then....you pretty much stated your system right there.

You will require....

A headunit of your choice (purchase at BB if you can get a good deal)

A 125x4 or 2 125x2 @ 4 ohm amps

A kinetic box (WAAAAAAAAAAY better than JL)

Infinity Kappa Perfects 6.1s...the ultimate speaker for electronic music. Some of the best treble reproduction and accuracy of any speaker Ive ever used under $1000.

And good wiring.

Should be able to squeeze it all for under $1400.

I have to chime in with my support for the Kinetic box as well. That thing absolutely pounds and balanced out my system so well. I also went with Alphasonik components and amps. You might want to see what John can do for prices on the complete setup for you before spending your hard earned cash at BB. Might be a better deal.

Neither of them are direct fit. Youll need to cut the baskets, or have the 3/4 adapters made. As for the sub of choice, you can, but the 800 sub is better than what you are thinking of anyways.
