Is there a Scosche brand (or the like) radio adapter (harness) for the S2000. I am going to install an aftermarket H/U this weekend and I am going to the store today to pick-up the necessary installation kits/wires/cables, etc.

Thanks,

I think everyone in the know here suggests Mettra harnesses.

The Metra harnesses work well, but do not carry the two pins for "mute" and "other three" dash controls. Macgyver's page explains this.

Also the Metra harness DOES carry the four leads for rear speakers the the S2000's harness does not use these.

Right Dan?

Oh I can answer this! Get yourself a 70-1721 Metra (WHITE) into car harness (its a generic honda accord 98-99 harness). Pull the rear speaker lines green/purple and the dimmer orange w/stripe. You don't need these. Put a wire back into pin 3 for the dash controls and 14 for the mute. If you're not doing a pac unit at this time just pull the wires (set them aside for later).

Maybe you're thinking of illumination/lights on signal. Pin 19 (orange w/stripe) has no interface with the blue car harness.

Barry, so 3 people say its ok, then it must be. Maybe that other guy wanted to just make a sale. Besides, like i said, if there was a problem I'd have a new speaker panel to you ASAP and I'd take care of the rest. I don't want you shelling out extra $$ on things you don't need. Not a problem!
