Default Stereo Upgrade Recommendations?

Hi,

I'm just about to get my S2000 (2000) out of storage (yes I know but I live in Chicago and it would have got the S*it beat of out it).

Anyway, 1st prority is to upgrade the stock stereo and I was wondering if you had anyone had any recommendations.

Basically, I'm looking for
1. Single disc head unit which links into the dash audio controls.
2. Upgrade the door speakers. (maybe add tweeters)
3. Add Satelllite radio (I drive 60 miles a day and can't stand talk radio... I prefer sirus to XM as well) .. Where is a good position to mount the antenna? Can mounted inside and out of sight?
4. Ability to plug either an MP3 changer (like the wenwood) or plug in an i-pod (like in the new alpine). I prefer to control everything from the head unit. I don't want to be messing around with anything else.
5. Rear Speakers. This brings in the question, which gives a better sound. S-Pods or speakers behind the seats?
6. Is an amp needed?

A sub would be really good, but I don't want to sacrifice space in the trunk. Theres not exactly much space as there is! Is really needed?

Budget... well cheaper would be better but I spend allot of time in the car so I'd prefer to get a good system then to save a few dollars.

Not all the componets need to go in immedetly. Min requirment is head unit + satellite.

Anyone know of a good installer/retailer in either in Lincoln park area or Northern chicago?

Cheers
Chris

Forget Sirius......XM is now better, it is also available on better headunits.

Get an alpine head unit (with XM built in if you dont need mp3 capability)

Lucid DCI dash control keeper thingy....

WLAURENT 8" subwoofer enclosure.

8" of your choice...pref Elemental Design....

Speakers of your choice, Infinity or Focal pref.

One 4 channel amp.

Done.

S-pods............the only way to go for the rears! Alpine HU with XM radio capability. Lucid DCI or DJ Qube controller for dash controls.
