Stereo Wiring (Did a Search, need just a bit more info please)
I did a search and I think I found out everything I need to know, but I just want to ask a few more questions to be sure.
My roommate and I are going to install my Xtant mono amp and JL sub w/ box (from that current group buy), as soon as they both arrive. The amp arrived today, so I figured we could probably wire it up and just drop the sub in there once it arrives.
Anyhow, he does car security for a living, but not car audio. I'm assuming we should be able to figure it out based on his experience.
I need to do all of the following:
-Connect a line input for RCA's (stock head unit still being used). Where would I tap this? I have rear speakers as well).
-Power Wire for amp (4 gauge, possibly 8 gauge though, I cant remember what I have)... w/ inline fuse (50 amps)...
-Ground Wire for amp (does it need to be the same gauge as the power wire?) - where is a good point to ground the amp?
-Amp turn on wire (I have lucid's harness for adding rear speakers, what can I tap on this to do the amp turn on wire).
Anything else I'm forgetting?
Thanks for any help... I think we'll be fine, but it'd be nice to know 100%

Where are you planning to mount the amp?
There are some good grounding points in the trunk. If you take off the cover for the spare tire, you will see what looks like a strut bar. Both ends of that make for a good ground.

Well I just thought that I should let everyone know that we did the install tonight and everything works!!!
Had quite a few snags along the way... but in the end it all works as it should. Damn there is no room behind that CD player... I had this big module from rockford that gave me my RCA's and such, and it was all stuffed behind the cd player... we had to struggle with that thing for a while.
We also had an issue with the amp losing its signal when the car was running, figured out something was wrong inside of the rockford module we are using. So my roommate ended up bypassing and that fixed everything.
I'll post pics of my setup sometime soon!
