Stock Head Unit
Hi All
I'm new to the forum and have just ordered my S2000 (22 weeks delivery!)
A couple of questions around the sounds - are the dash controls compatible with all SONY head units? What are the specs of the stock head unit?
Thanks!
John

There are a couple people working on making a hard wired mod for the dash controls........other than that one choice is my mod that I wire up ready to plug into the car. Just click on my sig.
As for the specs of the stock head.....I think 12 watts was thrown around at one point. Needless to say............SAD VERY VERY SAD!

Johnny,
If you don't like to dink with wiring and such, definitely go with Pinky's mod...it's plug-and-play, and just about everyone who has purchased it is happy (costs about $150, cheaper if you purchase a head from him). If you don't mind splicing a few wires, see my webpage to add your own PAC module (costs about $50).
It looks like you've already made the wise choice to replace the stock head. As for the hardwired options, I've batted around the idea of a hardwire Sony link wioth others, but I don't believe any of the designs were finalized, and probably won't be for some time to come. I would love to have one, as I have a Sony myself, but for now the PAC is the best thing going.
Cheers!
