1...will the controls near the start button still work if i swap in a ap2 radio into an ap1

2... did any s2k stock head unit play mp3`s?

Search would be nice, but I'm not going to be the one to tell you to search and end my post.

The stock stereo can only play cd's in a cd-audio format. They cannot play MP3 folders or any other type of formats.

If you swap an AP2 headunit in your AP1, they should still work. I'd like someone to confirm this for me though.

 

can anyone confirm.... i searched earlier but my labtop keeps dieing and browsing search on my iphone sucks...

 

im sure it will work... almost 99% i just gave my friend my ap2 radio and he put it in an ap1... i'll check back with you on this post to see if it works....

Well since the same modifry DCI works with all model years, the dash controls are the same. So you have nothing to worry about.

depends on the ap1 radio, the new radio will not have a clock(since they have a cluster with time)
