Stuck CD
I can find no small pin hole in the face plate. I already looked b4. I have power to the unit. I was not playing a CD-R. It happens to be a CD from the library that has one of their bar code on it, thus making it have a thick spot and hanging up the CD.
CDRs aren't a problem, and CDRWs will give you a read error most of the time (but should never play).
The stock unit has no pinhole, and taking the damn thing's covers off to get to the internals doesn't work either (can you tell I've had to do this before?
). Your best bet in this case is to use some tweezers with electrical tape on the tips and pull as you press eject. There are some surprisingly heavy-duty metal door thingies (that's the technical term) that are in the basic path of the CD eject, and they're a bitch to get around. You take a chance of losing the barcode in there (you can take the covers off to get to that, though), but at least you get the CD out.
Out of curiosity, why are you putting something from the library in your car CD player?

Thanks for everyones input! I was able to get the CD to eject by inserting a nail file and using the eject button.
After paying the ridiculous price plus markup, I can no longer afford CD's!
The CD in question was"The Raw and the Cooked" by Fresh Young Cannibals.

The reason CD-R's are a NO NO is that they are not supposed to be played in our head unit. Its not CD-R compatable! Only just recently have radio's started comming CD-R compatable. Pioneer was one of the first ones to have that. And even still there are radios that don't support it.
They will play fine for a while but after a while the extra weight of the CD-R will take its tole on the motor and it will fail far far earlier than it should.
