So recently my sub has been going on and off. Ive check all wires/connections/amp and everything is in working order.

What i've notice the sub works when i press down 1/2inch on the sub and it works.


Is it blown some how? Any help would be appriciated.

 

Sounds like the voice coil is broken or possibly a tinsel lead. You'll need to pull the sub to diagnosis further. I would check the tinsel leads first, and then see if it rattles when you tap the cone. If it rattles, the voice coil is likely f'd...

 

yeah sounds like the sub is going bad, might as well just replace it lol
