I can make you one just like the JL box for a litte more than half the retail price of that part.

). I would rather do this than pay the $500 Tweeter wants for the JL boxPM me with a price and any pictures of one if you have them.
Thanks!
Matt
Matt,
choosing the sub to fit in a box like that will depend highly upon what amp you're using to run it...
generally, if you find a sub that can perform well in a sealed enclosure of about .7 to 1 cu ft, you should be pretty good. it depends on how John builds the enclosure and/or if you want a beauty board on top of it to disguise/cover it (which means you loose volume in the enclosure).

PJK3,
I was looking to run a JL 450/4 - putting 300w to the sub and 75w to each front speaker (I will run my rears off of the HU). I would like the install to be clean and invisible, unless this will muffle the sound too much.

i'm sure it could be stealthed w/o seriously hurting the sound... a beauty board w/ a large hole cut into it, then grilled over, and all carpeted would probably be fine...
after all -- the sound is still supposed to be passing through all that mess between trunk and cabin anyway...
JL 450/4
Channels 1&2 :
stereo mode:
150 W RMS x 2 @ 1.5 ohm

actually, i've heard those kinds of buckets can make really kick butt enclosures if you can get them to seal up well...
i heard it. i swear.
my first system wasn't even this nice.... i had a boom box seat belted in on the back seat of my '71 Dodge Dart....
at least i ran the 12V cig lighter power cord under the seat.....

i didn't buy it... it was my Dad's and he passed it on to me. it had a 3 speed on the column, the 198 cu.in. slant 6, a pool of oil in the air filter box, a set of dead rear end springs, and a hole in the passenger side floorboard.

heh... actually, it was technically older than me. they bought it real early in the model year a few weeks before i was born...
now, for the kicker. the saddest thing? my Dad traded in his 1966 911 for it.
