Will my factory Keyless entry work if I take the stock HU out? Ive been told that the HU controls the Keyless entry and other things.

 

Yes - your keyless entry will still work. Just keep the stock HU code with the radio in case you sell it or reinstall. You need the code to get the radio to work after it loses power. (Just did an aftermarket install myself - I can verify my keyless still works as it used to.)

i believe i recall that the problem you're talking about was specific to a certain generation of Civic....
i don't know much about it, but recall reading that at some point in the past....
